When Skid Row entered the US market in 1989 with their classic self-titled debut, little did they realize that the fans would arrive in stadium-sized crowds. With four wildly successful singles, the Skid Row album sold a whopping 5 million units (MTV was definitely a factor as well!) The band only released three peak period albums, all on Atlantic Records (Skid Row released two later period albums on SPV and without Sebastian Bach). Skid Row was an important band for their time and for their fans.

On December 2, BMG will continue the box parade with a collected albums set called The Atlantic Years 1989-1996. Within, you will (likely) find the three albums – Skid Row (1989), Slave To The Grind (1991), and sUBHUMAN rACE (1995). A B-sides collection was released by Atlantic in 1992 called B-Side Ourselves, so you can expect that gem in there as well. Also expected will be the Atlantic-issued 40 Seasons: The Best Of Skid Row, which was released in 1998.

The Atlantic Years 1989-1996 will be on CD (Box), DD, and 7LP Box.

  1. Looks like it will be three albums without bonus tracks, the covers EP and a Live in London EP.
