I think it’s fantastic that bands like The Doors get more than enough attention of their contributions to the world of Rock and Roll. We need more bands to exhaust their collections so that collectors and fans of bands can get their fill, even 50 (or more) years after the fact. The Doors, by standards, were a short-lived band that produced 10 studio sets within the span of five years. Tow of the albums were without Jim Morrison, and one of them was released after his death. The Doors were influential with their blend of Jazz and Rock. And many of us still miss them today.
On October 23, The Doors and Rhino Entertainment will further highlight the works of the band with a live set to be named Unbound and Dangerous. This set is taken from several stops along their Roadhouse Blues Tour in 1970 (with one exception being a 1969 live track from the Aquarius Theater in Hollywood). The 16-track set (14 songs, an introduction, and a “good night”) will slot nicely into your Doors collection. There will also be a Blu-ray Audio offered with an Atmos mix, a Quad mix, and a high resolution Stereo mix.
Unbound and Dangerous will be provided on CD, DD, BD-Audio, and a Limited Edition 2LP Translucent Red vinyl press.
