Simple Minds, a Scottish band that overtook the attention of the world by the time their 8th album rolled out. With increasing interest in their sound that originated in 1979 with their first album (Life In A Day), and grew more appreciably over the years following its release. Their New Gold Dreams (81-82-83-84) provided a much wider audience that grew even more since its release in 1982. By Once Upon a Time (1985), Simple Minds were a worldwide success. but as their decline with a worldwide audience increase from there, one thing remained constant – their creativity. Never once did their music decrease with with strength, urgency, and an easy ability to absorb with love. Over time, the core components of Simple Minds in Charlie Burchill, and Jim Kerr kept the ongoing band in the reach of every fan. Overall, Simple Minds have 20 albums in circulation, their last in 2022 with Direction Of The Heart. Time for another classic.
On January 29, 2027, Simple Minds will release their newest album, Sacrosanct. This album will feature 8 new songs, and with a special edition Mediabook CD, add in 5 more tracks, three of which are single edits. The album will provide a 22-page booklet along with the new music in the Mediabook edition. The standard CD issue will be offered in a six-panel digipak.
Sacrosanct will be released on CD, DD, and two vinyl color editions that will include a 2LP Silver Marble edition, and a single LP pressed on Neon Green vinyl. An exclusive Green and Black Inkplosion LP will also be made available.
