10cc, the band from the UK filled with creative output and that generated 5 hit albums that spawned many singles. You may remember their first single, “Rubber Bullets”, and subsequent singles like “I’m Not In Love”, “The Things We Do For Love”, “People In Love”, and more, especially since they were more celebrated in Europe. Over the span of 22 years (8 years during their peak period), they produced 10 albums. Let’s not forget that Kevin Godley and Lol Creme (Godley & Creme) enjoyed a duo career all their own with 7 albums, and singles like “Cry”, and “Under Your Thumb”.
On November 20, Grapefruit Recordings (Cherry Red UK) will celebrate the first two of 10cc’s album outputs with an expansive look at the singles and extra materials spread out over 6 CDs and a Blu-ray. This Box set will add in previously unreleased alternate versions, session tracks, BBC tracks, outtakes, and rehearsal tracks. The box will be named The Stockport Shuffle: Complete UK Label Anthology 1972-1974. Both 10cc (the 1973 debut), and Sheet Music (1974) will be newly remastered for this set, In addition Dolby Atmos Surround Sound mixes will be included on the BD along with BBC Concert videos and television appearance videos. A 40-page booklet detailing the two albums and the period with photos and a 7,000 word essay will be added.
