Green Day Revolution RadioSince their arrival in the ’90s, Green Day has not only dominated the hearts and musical tastes of that generation, they have produced viable albums that effectively stand the test of time. With the release of their 1994 classic, Dookie, Green Day catapulted to worldwide success. Eventually, they would release American Idiot, a 2004 conceptual album that would not only re-energize a flagging momentum for the band, but also expand on the punk style of music. American Idiot would net the band a Grammy Award for Best rock Album in 2005. Their next album, 21st Century Breakdown (2009) would repeat the performance, gaining the band their second Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2010.

In 2012, Green Day would pound out a trilogy of generally well-received releases. Since that, the band would be relatively silent.

On October 7, Reprise will release the new studio work by Green Day, called Revolution Radio. This new album will feature twelve new songs, and is planned to be issued on CD, DD, and vinyl LP.

There will be a limited edition red vinyl LP set that, if pre-ordered (at Greenday.com), provides a download of the digital files on release date, as well as an instant download of “Bang Bang”, a song from the new album. Also at the webstore, there is a Limited Edition Lyric book that can be pre-ordered. It comes with a copy of the CD, a 32-page hardcover book with lyrics, art, photos, and more.
