When the “punk” era began, the market was literally alive with great emerging bands. One of them was The Damned. The Damned was a UK punk band tat captured the rapt attention of the UK market and leaving a string of great hit singles. The band’s first album, Damned Damned Damned was issued in 1977 by then influential label, Stiff Records. The album featured twelve rapid fire tracks. Needless to say, that debut album is one of the great Punk Rock sets ever released.
On May 27, Silver Saucer Records will reissue Damned Damned Damned with a brand new remaster. In addition to that new audio update, the album will come complete with original artwork.
As an aside, Drastic Plastic will reissue a 200g-weight black vinyl LP for Mott, the 1973 classic by Mott The Hoople. This album was the last to feature the guitar of Mick Ralphs before he left to form Bad Company.
