For 2013’s Record Store Day, Columbia Records reissued three Aerosmith classics on 180g vinyl, riding the surging wave of LP interest that is breaking out across the world. Hell, I went in hunt of the new Black Angels album, Indigo Meadow, on vinyl LP, only to be disappointed in every visit. (Good going, Black Angels!) The Aerosmith albums being re-reissued to the masses, now outside the scope of Record Store Day, are Aerosmith, Get Your Wings, and Toys In The Attic, all three featuring new 2012 remastering for the LP project. I’ll tell you this, I DIDN’T pick up the Get Your Wings album, even though I should have. I’m going to remedy that next trip to the store. As an aside, (and for discussion fodder), I maintain that Aerosmith never rose above the magic in Get Your Wings!
The previously mentioned Aerosmith remastered 180g LPs are now set for reissue on June 4.
Culture Factory USA will reissue Blue Oyster Cult‘s 1976 classic, Agents Of Fortune on remastered CD that features 96k, 24-bit playback. The CD will feature a gatefolded paper jacket replicating the original album LP release completely in every way including the inner sleeve. The CD itself even has the CD painted to reproduce the original label, just as the album looked. This is expected on June 18. It will be joined in similar fashion by Fire Of Unknown Origin, On Your Feet Or On Your Knees, Cultösaurus Erectus, Blue Öyster Cult, Tyranny And Mutation, Spectres, Mirrors, Secret Treaties, and Some Enchanted Evening.
Culture Factory USA will also revisit Wishbone Ash with the same styled releases (as explained above for BOC) of Live Dates, and Live Dates II. These are slated for June 25. And I WILL say this: Not only will I be getting these two releases, I’m fervently hoping for the same treatment to be applied to the ENTIRE Wishbone Ash catalog, particularly through Number The Brave.
Columbia Records have the new Harry Connick Jr album, Every Man Should Know, scheduled for release on June 11, CD only (no faddish vinyl for this guy!)

In addition, the included DVD is To Hell And Back: Live at Cold Creek Correctional Facility (1996), an Earle concert filmed at the facility in Tennessee. The booklet will be 40 pages thick with photos, an essay, and liner notes from Earle. The Warner Brothers Years is slated for release on June 25.
Columbia Records will re-release the successful Train album, California 37, in an expanded Mermaids of Alcatraz Edition that will add in six bonus tracks. The new inclusions are “Imagine”, “To Be Loved”, and four live performance tracks (“Bruises”, “Calling All Angels”, “Drive By”, and “This’ll Be My Year”). This new set is expected on June 25.

How EXCITING is THIS (for YES fans)?! On June 11, Audio Fidelity will release the anticipated SACD (Stereo, Hybrid) of Going For The One, the 1977 classic from YES. Given the overall greatness of AF’s SACD of Close To The Edge, this may be the SECOND most anticipated album reissue of the year for me in this still young 2013. YES!!
Also arriving from Audio Fidelity will be a Stereo Hybrid 2SACD of Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits, Volume 2, planned for June 4. Audio Fidelity also increases their presence in the SACD market with the planned SACD reissue of King Creole by Elvis Presley, planned for June 11.
Frontiers Records will release Dancer & The Moon from Blackmore’s Night on June 11.
Metropolis Records have ‘the minutes‘ from Alison Moyet, which has a release date of June 11 in both CD and LP formats.

ANTI Records will have the wonderful Mavis Staples arriving with One True Vine, on June 25 in both CD and LP.
Glassnote Records have If You Leave coming from Daughter, expected on June 25 in LP and CD.
Snapper Music Group will release a 14CD Box set featuring Family named Once Upon A Time on July 2. Curated by Roger Chapman, this massive set will feature not only the entire Family catalog, but will also provide 2CDs worth of outtakes and alternative versions of Family songs, all previously unreleased. In addition, the set will deliver a 72-page hardback book to clinch the deal. The set is pricey. But if you’re a fan of Family, it just might be worth the price. The Once Upon A Time Family Box will be released in the US as an import title.
New Van Dyke Parks album, Songs Cycled, will be made available on July 23 in both CD and LP formats.
Niji Records will release a 2CD Deluxe Edition of Magica, the 2000 album from Dio, with a release date set for June 25.
