Blodwyn Pig, a UK-based band formed by Mick Abrahams after his early departure from a still developing Jethro Tull band. His new venture, however, was short-lived with only two studio albums produced. Both albums were less than a year apart. The band garnered interest but not enough to maintain the level necessary to sustain a working band for too long a period. The music of Blodwyn Pig can be characterized as a Blues-based Rock with Jazz elements entrenched, a bit hard-edged but satisfying all the same.
On March 20, Esoteric Recordings will release a new collection with the two Blodyn Pig Chrysalis albums being newly remastered for the 3CD box. In addition to the original albums, a handful of bonus tracks that incorporate A and B-sides along with outtakes help to make up the collection. Even better, a CD filled with BBC live performance tracks in packed in. No doubt, a rich booklet with new notes and more photos.

The 3CD box will fill a clamshell-styled box set. This box, despite that the albums were remastered earlier in 2018, are still an elegant addition to the Blodwyn Pig library.
