The Clash, begun in 1976 during the Punk musical identity growth, quickly turned into one of the era’s great bands, With only five albums in releasing ending with the 2xPlatinum set, Combat Rock (not counting Clash-branded Cut The Crap, which only featured Joe Strummer). Combat Rock produced politically-charged “Know Your Rights”, “Straight To Hell”, “Should I Stay Or Should I Go”, and “Rock The Casbah” among other excellent tunes – Topper Headon was asked to leave because of drug concerns, and Mick Jones was fired leaving the band in disarray. They persevered and released Cut The Crap, but soon The Clash were no more. At one point, Columbia released a radio-only collection known as The World According To The Clash without band consent. It contained a string of popular Clash tunes from their albums. In short, it became a collector’s item.
On November 13, Legacy Recordings will reissue the once promotion only set in newly remastered form. It will contain 11 tracks and will be a nice companion piece to your Clash library that has an historical presence and value connected to it. The cover art is new, and there is a poster fold to be packed in with the sets.

The World According To The Clash will be released on CD, DD, and several vinyl packages that include Orange vinyl, and Limited Edition Exclusive Red vinyl. there are additional bundled sets that will pack in LP/CD/Poster/Slipmat/Tee in various bundling availabilities.
