John Prine was a treasured Country-infused Folk singer who found a Rock audience back in the late ’60s, and throughout the ’70s. With 18 studio albums of compositions in his catalog, Prine wrote his songs with a depth that touched our souls and lives like an electric shock. Sadly, Prine passed in 2020 from Covid complications. Today, his music still shines for those that appreciated his depth and strong understanding of the human way.
On April 17, Rhino Records will offer BBC Sessions, an audio document of songs performed for the legendary BBC. The songs here represent his first two albums, nine live tracks in all.
The title is scheduled for RSD on April 18 in a limited quantity (7100 copies) pressed on black 140g-weight vinyl LP. The CD and DD are planned for April 17.
