Robin Trower began his solo outing not long after his departure from Procol Harum. His debut set was Twice Removed From Yesterday, which issued in 1973. But it was his magnificent psychedelic-infused Bridge Of Sighs that gained him his footing, a footing that did well for him for five Gold albums (which includes his Robin Trower Live!, issued in 1976) from 1974 through 1978. Nevertheless, Robin Trower kept putting them out to the tune of 28 albums including his upcoming set, Come And Find Me.

On June 27, Chrysalis Records celebrate the 50th Anniversary of For Earth Below with a 4CD set that will feature a new remaster of the original album, as well as a recently uncovered extended stereo mix of the original album. In addition, the set will include a disc of outtakes, BBC sessions, and other rarities. It’s all rounded out with the addition of a newly remixed show in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Center during the For Earth Below tour. The show was on March 16, 1975. The set is completed with a richly designed booklet that includes notes and photos, as well as interviews with Robin Trower and Bill Lordan.

The 50th Anniversary of For Earth Below is scheduled for CD, DD, and LP distribution. The 2LP package will be pressed on black vinyl and contain the 2025 remaster on LP1, and the 2025 stereo mix on LP2.

Long Misty Days for next year! And followed by In City Dreams!

  1. After the “Bridge” i was hoping so to speak that would be ‘next in line”. Lo and behold yes a massive fave. Oh well silly me i went direct to his web page as i support the artist. The cost is just on $450 Australian dollars oh well, why not.
