War extended from the Eric Burdon assembly, post involvement. After the success of “Spill The Wine”, the band stayed with it and produced a string of successful LPs and accompanying mega-singles that include, “All Day Music”, “Slippin’ Into Darkness”, “Cisco Kid” and other gems. Socially conscious and musically talented gave the band a vast leap into American R&B. They remained a strength for all of the ’70s before changing tastes in music and aging of their audience reduced their appeal as innovative music for the time.
