For some time, Mute Records (in collaboration with Spoon Records) have celebrated the existence of Can with live packages from various locations during the band’s original era. To date, there are three well-received live sets that include Live in Cuxhaven 1976 (read here), Live in Stuttgart 1975 (read here), and Live in Brighton 1975. Can, an original and influential experimental Rock band from Germany gave us eleven studio sets over a 20 year period.
On February 23, Mute Records will return with a new Can live set, Live In Paris – 1973. Touring Future Days (released in 1973), this set features five extended live performance tracks. The package will present new sleeve notes, photos, and more in the celebration of Can.
Live In Paris – 1973 will be released on CD, DD, and 2LP Black Vinyl. You can listen to a 30-second excerpt of “Vier” from this set below. You can pre-order from Mute Records at this link.
