With the release of their debut video and single, Northward have declared their intent to kick rock and roll’s ass.
Both the aesthetic and the sound exude classic rock swagger. Floor Jansen (Nightwish, ReVamp) dominates the microphone and the screen with the power and poise of the goddess she is. Jørn Viggo Lofstad (Pagan’s Mind), armored in a black Mötorhead t-shirt, brandishes a black Les Paul that he fires from two black Marshall amps. It’s a refreshing blast of straight-ahead hard rock.
