Here’s something completely fun and, frankly, good to hear. MusicTAP.net is very pleased to bring you this exclusive premiere video track – a very well-executed version of Donovan’s classic, “Mellow Yellow”, revisited by Dusty Wright, while aided and abetted by Mr. Leitch himself on backing vocals.

For those who aren’t familiar with Dusty Wright, here’s a background, which is pretty fascinating:  he’s an American singer/songwriter, pop-culture curator and “metaphysical cowboy”. He is a former editor of the legendary music magazine Creem. His new album Gliding Towards Oblivion is the 3rd installment in a trilogy of metaphysical ruminations about life, death and love which started with If We Never… (2011) and then Caterwauling Towards the Light (2017). He says, “most of it was recorded in my apartment in New York, even the drums. It afforded me the opportunity to work on tracks whenever I felt the creative process in full flight. I worked hard on creating a true narrative for this album; a deep internal journey. These songs, as well as the previous two albums, are the most autobiographical tunes I’ve ever written. Hopefully, they will resonate with the listener.”

Mr. Wright is also co-founded the audio podcasting and video webcasting online pop culture magazine, CultureCatch.com, featuring his interview series, “The Dusty Wright Show”. Interviews from the show were among the very first video and audio podcasts featured on iTunes, with such guests as Ron Howard, Gore Vidal, Jim Marshall, Budd Hopkins, Tilda Swinton, and CultureCatch.com board advisor David Lynch.  He co-wrote the indie feature “The Gentleman Bandit”, which was screened at the AFM and Malibu Film Festivals in 2000. Wright served as music consultant for the Johnny Depp movie “Secret Window”; producer on the award-winning documentary “Wildwood Days” (2005) and on the documentary “Airplay: The Rise and Fall of Rock Radio” (2000). If all that wasn’t enough, he was the co-head writer on CeeLo Green’s show “Talking To Strangers” on Fuse.tv.

Gliding Towards Oblivion will be released in early November, 2018
