Warner Brothers have Hail To The King coming from Avenged Sevenfold in a Deluxe Edition CD (with digital download rights), and a standard CD, both planned (and likely an LP) for August 27.

Mercury Records add to the ICON series with Nothing Like I Planned – Greatest Hits, Volume Three featuring music from John Mellencamp.  This ‘best of’ is planned for August 6.

Concord Records have Fight For My Soul coming from Johnny Lang, scheduled for September 17.


UDR Records will lavish the live Ministry title, Enjoy the Quiet – Live At Wacken 2012 with release on three formats that include LP, CD, and a 2CD/DVD Deluxe Edition, all planned for issue on August 6.

Eagle Rock plan the release of a BD called The Making Of The Dark Side Of The Moon, which could be an excellent acquisition for absolute fans of the Pink Floyd, and more specifically, The Dark Side Of The Moon.  It’s planned for August 27.


Eagle Rock also have Black Masquerade coming from Richie Blackmore’s Rainbow.  (Note: The song was from Richie Blackmore’s Rainbow album, Stranger In Us All (1995))  The album, with a separately available DVD with the same title, will be on shelves on August 27.

Varese Sarabande will release the soundtrack to a film I am VERY anxious to see, Elysium.  The OMPS from Ryan Amon is slated for August 6.

Columbia and Legacy Recordings will assemble The Essential Bill Withers with a planned release date of August 20.

Columbia Records Nashville and Legacy Recordings will team up to assemble The Essential Tammy Wynette, also planned for August 20.

429 Records will release an album from The Rides (Stephen Stills, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Barry Goldberg) called Can’t Get Enough.  This album is slated for August 27 on CD, LP, and DD.

Pavement Music will release Whole from Soil on August 20, CD only.

Blue Note Records will release new Elvis Costello on September 17 called Wise Up Ghost in CD, Deluxe Edition, and LP.

Mute Records have a new Goldfrappe album on the calendar for September 10.  The new album is called Tales Of Us, and will be made available in CD, DD, and LP.

Red will release Sway from Blue October on CD and LP scheduling for August 20.


Anti Records will release the exhaustively titled The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You from Neko Case.  It is slated for release on September 3 in both CD and LP formats.

Sony and Legacy plan the new album from Earth, Wind & Fire for release on September 10.  The new album is called Now, Then & Forever.  (But we still miss Maurice White!)


 Shanachie Records will release Soul Quest from Keiko Matsui on July 30.

4 Men With Beards will reissue Violent Femmes‘ 1984 second release, Hallowed Ground, on vinyl LP, planned for September 17.
