Rhino and Parlophone team to present a 4LP, 180g-weight vinyl Box set of Bowie At the Beeb: The Best Of The BBC Radio Sessions ’68-’72. It’s planned for February 26.
On February 23, Rhino and Parlophone will reissue Space Ritual, the 1973 Live 2LP set by Hawkwind on 180g-weight 2LP vinyl. Also planned by the labels is a 2LP, 180g-weight vinyl reissue of Living In The Past (1972) by Jethro Tull, same date.
Rhino will reissue Bona Drag (1990) by Morrissey on 180g-weight 2LP, planned for February 23.
Anti/Epitaph will release new music by Mavis Staples on a new CD called Livin’ On A High Note. The album will feature twelve new songs written exclusively for Mavis Staples by luminaries like Neko Case, Ben Harper, Nick Cave, and others. There will be an HBO documentary special, Mavis!, on February 20. Livin’ On A High Note will release on CD on February 19, while the vinyl LP version is scheduled for April 1.
RCA Records will release a ‘best of’ for Daughtry on February 12. The compilation is tentatively titled Greatest Hits awaiting the actual title, which is to be determined.
Modular Records will release Yes, I’m A Witch Too, by Yoko Ono, scheduling the album for March 4. This album is an All-Star collaboration set that follows up her 2007 covers set, Yes, I’m A Witch. Artists joining Yoko Ono for this set will be Sparks, Death Cab for Cuties, Sean Lennon, and others.
Omnivore Records plan a 4CD collection featuring the music of Buck Owens, which will be called Buck ‘Em: The Music Of Buck Owens – Volumes One and Two. (Buck ‘Em? Really?). This 4CD Box will offer 100 tracks from 1955-1967. It’s slated for release on February 19.
