With the growing interest in vinyl, it’s only appropriate that we give out vinyl news for those who are fans. It’s fascinating to see some of the titles being revisited for high grade 180g-weight audiophile issues. for today, I have a few that are being pressed that will pleased Fleetwood Mac fans as well as Eagles fans. Here they are:
On February 24, Rhino Records will reissue Fleetwood Mac gems like Bare Trees (which we reported on earlier), and Then Play On (1969), Kiln House (1970), and Future Games (1971). And while Penguin (1973), Mystery To Me (1973), and Heroes Are Hard To Find (1974) have not been announced (or have already been pressed in the past, I can’t remember), I trust that those titles will have their day (or have already).
Also on February 24, Elektra Records will reissue 180g-weight vinyl LPs by Eagles that include Eagles (1972), Desperado (1973), On The Border (1974), One Of These Nights (1975), Hotel California (1976), and The Long Run (1979), which actually comprises their entire Elektra catalog.
I have two of these on my list!
Thanks for the heads up. Do you know if Future Games will be remastered, and if there are plans for CD? I have read disparaging things about the Japanese CD, and I have never heard the domestic CD with “RE-1” in the matrix number, which is rumored to have been remastered.
