There are bands that, while important to many, do not gain the global attention they should have. Bands like Wishbone Ash, Rory Gallagher, and another that went by the name of Gentle Giant. Gentle Giant crafted a unique style of Progressive music that went its own direction. Formed in 1970, Gentle Giant released their first album within the same year. Over the span of their 10 years they released 11 studio sets and a live album (Playing The Fool – 1977). Today, they are still warmly remembered by the fans that remembered them and enjoyed their music.
On November 27, Madfish Music (who put everything they can possibly find into finely crafted sets) will release an 8CD collection featuring 8 hours of US concert recordings from the period of 1975 through 1980. Of those will be shows from Hampstead, NY; Chester, PA; Atlanta, GA; Los Angeles, CA; and New Paltz, NY. On two CDs will also be the entire 1976 Live at the Bicentennial show at the Calderone Concert Hall in Hampstead. All of the music found across these 8CDs have been newly remastered for this release. Included within the box will be a 60-page hardback book with photos, memorabilia, an essay, and more. In the box will also included a tee created for this set.
The Set will be titled Front Row Center and will be offered as the 8CD Box, DD, and a 10LP Box.
