During the run of Genesis, Phil Collins found a voice that led to a good solo career. Inside of his second career, he released 8 solo albums, four of which fell squarely within the peak era of his popularity outside Genesis. Filled with many hits, these four albums sold remarkably well, even more than Genesis themselves. The debut set, Face Value, was released in 1981 and sold well over ten million copies worldwide. “In The Air Tonight” was the driving song from the album.
On September 18, Rhino entertainment will revisit Face Value with enhanced audio delivering a new Dolby Atmos mix by Steven Wilson. This will be found on an upcoming Blu-ray Audio set that will pack in a 12-page booklet with the Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround, a new Stereo mix, and the original mix remastered in 2016 but provided as a hi-resolution 96kHz/24-bit Stereo.
There will also be a 4LP box that will supply Face Value original album 2016 remaster, and add more with an LP of rare and previously unreleased live performance tracks, and LP of demos, rarities, and outtakes, and more.
