The Moody Blues is one of those great bands from the past who helped to create a Progressive genre while remaining Pop enough for the radio audiences, and Top 40 Rock enough for a casual listener. Their first album, The Magnificent Moodies (UK), or Go Now (US) established the step stones for the band with their first single, “Go Now”. From there, it was a steady climb with the releases of Days Of Future Passed (1967), In Search Of The Lost Chord (1968), and their others successes.

In Search Of The Lost Chord is in celebration of the album’s 50th Anniversary. With singles, “Ride My See Saw”, and “Voices In The Sky”, the album further buoyed a growing conceptual band.

On November 2, UMe will unveil a lavish reissue of In Search Of The Lost Chord to help mark the event.  A Deluxe 3CD/2DVD set will be released providing brand new remixes of the original classic, and including unreleased tracks as bonuses, and John Peel sessions BBC live performances. For bonus tracks, there will be a previously unreleased Mono mix of “Legend Of A Mind” as well as Mono mixes of A and B-sides singles.

The 50th Anniversary of In Search Of The Lost Chord will be released on CD, LP (standard black 180-weight edition, and a psychedelic color edition 180g-weight limited run), DD, and the previously mentioned 3CD/2DVD Box. The standard single CD will provide the new Stereo mix and throw in a few bonus tracks.

A 76-page book will accompany the Deluxe Edition. It will be stuffed with notes, essays, credits, rare photos, and memorabilia.

The first DVD will provide the album in a new 5.1 Surround Sound mix at 96kHz/24-bit, the new Stereo mix in 96kHz/24-bit, and the original stereo mix remastered.  The second DVD includes the video portions related to the title.
