The UK band, UFO, has not only given fans of their music plenty to enjoy during their initial releases especially during their peak years, but they have also revitalized those issues with updated audio and celebration of their time. With much of their peak sets already in reissue, it’s time to pick up on another set – The Wild, The Willing And the Innocent. Originally released in the early days of 1981, this set produced the single, “Lonely Heart”. While not performing on the charts as well as its predecessors, it still gave fans of the band new music to enjoy when the rest of the world were gravitating over to New Wave.

On May 1, Chrysalis Records will remember The Wild, The Willing And The Innocent with a brand new 2026 remaster of the eight original tracks as well as the bonus inclusions that offer two single edits and an alternate mix. The second CD will provide the full set of their January 29, 1981 set at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, all newly remixed for this set.

This reissue of The Wild, The Willing And The Innocent will be made available on 2CD, DD, and 3LP black vinyl. The booklet will contain photos, new notes (Michael Hann), and interview segments with Phil Mogg and Andy Parker.

  1. It’s great to hear they’re revisiting these classic recordings. I always appreciated the energy of their live performances back then.
