The Rolling Stones…or Rolling Stones…or simply Stones. No matter. However you refer to them, we ALL know who you’re talking about. Since their formation in 1962, their first album in 1964, and their continued stay at the TOP of world Rock and Roll consciousness, these guys have dominated Rock as no band has. With only two notable lineup changes since the loss of original member Brian Jones (not counting -or discounting- the string of 5th Stones) that include Mick Taylor, and 50 year vet, Ronnie Wood, The Rolling Stones have preserved like no other band.
In November (this will be updated with more precision, of course) of 2025, The Rolling Stones will reissue the 1976 set that added Ronnie Wood to the lineup – Black and Blue. The new album will be newly remastered for the Anniversary set and will pack in (thus far) two bonus tracks. There was/is hope for a more full set, perhaps even a box, but at the moment, that looks to be not the case. Nevertheless, a remastered Black and Blue set is highly welcomed.
I’m sure there will be CD, DD, and vinyl LP packages of this magnificent Stones set. As the news breaks wider, I’ll be sure to update this page.
