Bloc Party arrived in the early pages of the New Millennium. Their debut set, Silent Alarm, which arrived on 2005 is now celebrating 20 years of existence. It gave critics much to rave about. For me, it’s a band I still pay close attention to. The album delivered four singles that appealed to a wide body of indie listeners. Their last album released was Alpha Games in 2022.
On September 26, Bloc Party and PIAS Records will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Silent Alarm with special editions of the original album (hopefully remastered for this event), and a nice generous collection of demos, B-sides, Peel BBC Sessions Live, and a few rarities. A booklet is included that will offer more photos, new liners notes, and a new forward.
This 20th Anniversary reissue of Silent Alarm will be issued on 2CD, DD, and 2LP set pressed on white vinyl. Also, an all-inclusive Box set is available that will have the 2CDs and 2LPs (the 2CDs include the original album, and the 2LPs feature the Demos and other bonus inclusions PLUS a 24-page booklet).
