Jonathan Richman along with his The Modern Lovers bandmates (which once included Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads fame, and David Robinson of Cars fame) helped to form the fabric of Rock back in the ’70s and ’80s. After a collection of nine official studio releases with The Modern Lovers, Jonathan Richman struck out on his own record and release over fifteen solo albums. The Modern Lovers also released a live set – Modern Lovers Live – in 1977. Of the studio works with The Modern Lovers, most were recorded with Beserkley Records and Sire Records labels. They were best loved in the UK.

In the fall with staggered release dates, Omnivore Records will reissue three of the classic studio albums from Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers along with their 1977 live set. The albums destined for these reissues are Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers (1976), Rock ‘n Roll With The Modern Lovers (1977), Back In Your Life (1979), and Modern Lovers ‘Live’ (1977). These reissues will not feature bonus tracks.

These reissues will be released on CD, DD, and vinyl LP. Jonathan Richman And the Modern Lovers will reissue on August 19; Rock ‘n’ Roll With The Modern Lovers will reissue on September 16, Modern Lovers ‘Live’ will reissue on October 21, and Back In Your Life will reissue on Novmber 11. All of these reissues will also be released on color variant LPs for independent stores.
