The recording empire of Bill Nelson, which includes Be Bop Deluxe, Solo, and Bill Nelson’s Red Noise, has largely been updated. And while Be Bop Deluxe is a woefully under-rated band, as is any of Bill Nelson‘s post-BBD work, his core fan base is solid and unshaken. Therefore, it is ALWAYS pleasant to have anything by Bill Nelson revitalized for the fans.
On August 26, Esoteric Recordings (Cherry Red UK) will release a 4CD/2DVD Box to be called Art/Empire/Industry – The Complete Red Noise. This set will feature a newly remastered version of Sound On Sound (1979), and will also present discs of live tracks, demos, session tracks, and a 5.1 Surround remix of Sound On Sound. Additionally, there will be video content that include a promo video of “Revolt Into Style”, and a 1979 Old Grey Whistle Test appearance. A book, tour program, poster, and 4 postcards are packed into the soon to be available box.
