Little Feat was formed in 1969 and lasted only ten years before Lowell George called it quits over the usual “creative differences”, a plague that affronts many bands throughout the annals of Rock. The band produced seven peak-era albums for Warner Brothers Records. But the classic Little Feat album was a live set known to many as Waiting For Columbus. Released in 1978, the album sold quite well.
On July 29, Rhino will help Little Feat celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Waiting For Columbus with an 8CD Box that will plumb the depths of the album and the period it was released in. The current iteration of Little Feat are producing a 2022 tour that will play the album “front to back” starting a party that should sit well with all fans.
This 8CD Box will deliver the original album remastered on 2CDs and fill the other 6CDs up with three other previously unreleased shows from 1977. The Unreleased shows mean that the whole show has been unreleased. Fact is, some of the tracks were used in the original album and the 2002 Expanded Edition.
