Grateful Dead To Issue 20CD St. Louis Box, Listen To The River – St. Louis ’71 ’72 ’73

Grateful Dead is a tireless entity borne of the ’60s and is as alive today as it was then. Over the decades, collections of live shows featuring the Dead were  – and are – prevalent availabilities for the fan extraordinaire. With the upcoming release of Fox Theater – St. Louis, MO 12/10/71 on 3CD and 5LP scheduled for October 1 (here), it’s as good a time as ever to dive deep into the St. Louis shows vault and construct a whopping showstopper. 

On October 1, Dead.net offers an exclusive 20CD Box called Listen To The River: St. Louis ’71 ’72 ’73. Inside the  box are CDs crammed with 7 previously unreleased Grateful Dead shows: five at the Fox Theater and two at the Kiel Auditorium, all on dates ranging from 1971 through 1973 (see track list below for details). The tapes have been restored and speed corrected by Plangent Processes and are mastered in HDCD. The CDs are slip-cased with mind-blowing artwork, and packed with an 84-page hardbound book.

Listen To The River: St. Louis ’71 ’72 ’73 is a limited Boxed set with only 13,000 being sold, all numbered. Already they are selling fast. This box will issue as CD and DD.
