With a legacy such as Steve Howe possesses, his pedigree alone allows for album releases apart from YES, and his more established solo works. Occasionally, he issues an album within his own Homebrew series that allows for devout fans to keep up with his mind full of compositions. He released his first Homebrew series title in 1996, designed as a way to push music out to fans that was not much beyond the demo stage, and likely would never get there or find them refined for inclusion on solo albums or even YES albums.
On July 30, via the musician’s HoweSound label, the newest Homebrew – Homebrew 7 – will be released. It will contain 21 songs, some reaching quite far back – as early as 1978.
