Rush has blazed a path in Rock music largely on their own terms. Sadly, we recently lost a behemoth of a drum pioneer in Neil Peart, but the behemoth known as Rush moves forward. 2020 marks the 40th Anniversary of the band’s 7th album, Permanent Waves. Rush will celebrate that landmark with a grand reissue of the 1980 classic.
On May 29, Super Deluxe 2CD/3LP packages of Permanent Waves will be made available along with 2CD and 3LP physical editions. The cover is reworked for the set, which will feature the 2015 remaster of the album only previously issued on vinyl. A massive 40-page booklet will accompany the box. The bonus CDs and LPs will contain previously unheard soundboards and live tracks. Also packed in are programs, lyric sheet, poster, etc.
