Most of the time we’re a little ahead of the release date for the announced album. In this case, we’re a bit behind. But, as it’s said, better late than never.
As many of you music lovers reading this page will already know, Bill Nelson was the guitar extraordinaire essential component of UK’s eclectic band, Be Bop Deluxe. Their recorded longevity of approximately five years accounted for five studio albums, and a brilliant live set. When the band could no longer properly express themselves, Bill Nelson opted for a solo career. During that, he released a massive treasure chest of music with more than fifty titles to his burgeoning library. One of them is the much appreciated Chance Encounters In The Garden Of Lights.
Released in 1987, This conceptualized piece was splintered into two separate sets (The Angel At The Western Window, and The Book of Inward Conversation). both add to his mystery of music in a great way.
On July 28 (passed), Esoteric, in conjunction with Nelson’s own Cocteau Records, released a combined set featuring both albums in the UK market. The set is presented as Chance Encounters In The Garden Of Lights, and will add in a collection of bonus tracks that were presented in the 1988 CD set as well a drawn from a limited edition (and rare) vinyl EP that was originally included in the original vinyl edition of the double LP. The EP inclusion represents eight additional songs making this new 2CD remaster a complete representation of this excellent album in its intended entirety.
