Some new vinyl LP reissues and releases that have made it to new calendars on labels are as follows:

Rhino and Parlophone will reissue Rio (1982) by Duran Duran on 2LP 180g vinyl LP, scheduling for July 22.

10 spot Records have a 25th Anniversary LP repress of Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt on the calendar for June 24.

Fantasy Records will release several classic Jazz titles on vinyl LP for John Lee Hooker (The Country Blues Of John Lee Hooker – 1959), John Coltrane (Bye Bye Blackbird – 1962), Cannonball Adderley/Milt Jackson (Things Are Getting Better – 1959), Chet Baker (Chet Baker In New York – 1959), Bill Evans (The Tony Bennett/Bill Evans Album – 1975), Blackbyrds (City Life – 1975), and The Dave Brubeck Quartet (Jazz At The College Of The Pacific – 1953). All LPs are slated for August 12.

Rhino and Parlophone have slated Barrett, the 1970 solo album by Syd Barrett for 180g LP treatment, setting it for reissue on July 1, along with Opel, a 1988 compilation effort, and The Madcap Laughs (1970).


Friday Music plans the 180g Limited Edition LP reissue of The Best Of The Spinners (1973), also on July 1.

Friday Music will also release a white vinyl edition of Live Bootleg – Special Edition featuring Johnny Winter, on July 1.

Capitol Records will release PAX-AM by Ryan Adams on August 19.

Rhino Records will reissue an expansive 3LP 180g Edition (2002 remix/remaster) of Concerto For Group And Orchestra, the 1969 Deep Purple set, slating it for reissue on July 1.

Write Notes will reissue Journey To the Centre Of The Earth, the 1974 Rick Wakeman set, on both CD and 1809-weight vinyl LP.

Friday Music will reissue The Best Of Donny Hathaway (1978) on 180g vinyl, planned for July 15, with Extension Of A Man (1973) planned for 180g vinyl on July 22.

Original Recordings Group will release a vinyl LP edition of Stone Flower, the 1970 Antonio Carlos Jobim gem, planning for July 22.

Atlantic Records will reissue Straight Shooter, the 1975 Bad Company best-seller, on 180g vinyl LP, planned for July 1.

Atlantic Records have Amazing Grace, the 1972 classic from Aretha Franklin, slated for 2LP 180g on July 22.

Mobile Fidelity will reissue The Stranger by Billy Joel on vinyl LP scheduling the remaster for June 24.

RCA/Legacy will reissue The Pink Panther (1964) by Henry Mancini on June 3.

  1. I’ve read that the Bonnie Raitt will be an all analogue transfer, which should be great for fans.

  2. Surprised there is no mention of PF’s “The Division Bell”. That is basically a vinyl release with a couple of discs thrown in.
