The Waterboys has long been a voice of Mike Scott, who is the sole long-standing member since its 1983 formation. With a wealth of important music that includes A Pagan Place (1984), This Is the Sea (1985, and which produced “The Whole Of the Moon”, and the oft-revisited Fisherman’s Blues (1988). All told, The Waterboys cover 1983 through now with Mike Scott-infused songs. With the new edition of Fisherman’s Blues arriving in July this year, referred to as Atlantic Rain, Mike Scott remains a strong songwriter who tells his tales in his own way.
Recently, Mike Scott, under The Waterboys name, has released a new single. The single is called “Don’t Even Have To Say His Name”, and is listed as being “politically charged” by Chrysalis Records, who has released the single. You can hear the track below.
MusicTAP takes no sides in any political presentation. This is an interest in Mike Scott and The Waterboys, who have created some legendary musical gems in our time. Bear in mind, that Rock and Roll has a strong part of its history in government and war oppositions, and we revere those classics decades later.
