Cat Stevens provided a strong collection of consciousness with his songs and hits. With songs like “Peace Train”, “Morning Has Broken”, and “Oh Very Young” to note just a few, Cat Stevens gave the listening world a legacy that lives to this day. In 1970, Cat Stevens released his 2nd album for Island/A&M Records, Tea For The Tillerman. On the strength of two singles, “Wild World”, and “Father and Son”, that album sold three million copies in the US alone. And for the next six albums, Cat Stevens captivated the world audience before a new kind of music overtook the world at large. One of those classic, Buddha and The Chocolate Box (which offered “Ready” and “Oh Very Young” as its hits), turned fifty in 2024.
On September 4, Cat Stevens will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Buddha and The Chocolate Box with a new remaster of the classic album. The album will arrive via Cat-O-Log Records and A&M Records.
Buddha And The Chocolate Box will be reissued on CD, DD, and two versions of vinyl LP that will include the standard black vinyl press, as well as a Limited Edition Chocolate Brown Vinyl LP press.
