Status Quo, a great band that had its start in the early ’60s, has been getting a bit of attention as of late. With more than 30 studio sets to their credit and a few high-profile live sets. With the kind of successes Status Quo enjoyed, particularly in the early ’70s as Piledriver (1972) was released, Status Quo developed a devout audience. (They were particularly loved by Australian music fans.)
On April 24, Status Quo, by way of Edsel Recordings (Demon Music Group UK), will revisit the strength of the band’s live shows with a set that is the stuff of live legend – Live At Hammersmith ’79. This 2CD set will feature the entire 18 performance recordings from their June 26, 1979 set at UK’s famed Hammersmith Odeon. The music on this set has been restored and newly mixed from recently discovered live tapes.

Live At Hammersmith ’79 will be a nice addition to Status Quo enthusiasts libraries. Available on 2CD and DD.
