In 1979, The Knack released an album that took on fire-moving speed. Named Get The Knack, this album produced two chart-climbing singles (“My Sharona”, “Good Girls Don’t”), and set the stage for their next Capitol release, …But The Little Girls Understand (1980). In terms of how Get The Knack sold, this album did not go very far, therefore ushering the end of the excitement of The Knack. Their third set sealed that with no chart entry, and gave the band their exit from Capitol Records. The Knack, as we knew them, broke up with only a short run.
On May 8, Omnivore Records will issue a collection of rare The Knack tracks created and hinted at during their pre-rise momentum. In here, you will find pre-Get The Knack demos, live recordings, and a few selected tracks from their later years that included the releases of Zoom (1998), and Normal As The Next Guy (2001). All in all, the upcoming Omnivore set will feature 19 rare tracks. This collected set will be named Knackology: The Zen Recordings, with the recordings from the Knack label.

Knackology will be released on CD and DD.
