The Grateful Dead is an essential diamond in the full slate of Rock bands from throughout this magnificent period. They left behind a genuine blend of music laid out in style and presented as refreshed music every time it was heard live. They left quite a legacy behind with more than 20 studio sets, a single Top40 hit, and a ton of live sets. To this day, their relevancy to Rock has remained a strength. What more needs to be said? They’re The Grateful Dead!

On May 30, Rhino Entertainment will unleash two sets for The Grateful Dead that will explore their music in live form. There are many shows to choose from and these two sets explore them well. The forts set is being called Enjoying The Ride and will include a whopping 60CDs featuring 20 shows from over 25 years of concerts, 17 of them in their entirety. Much of the music is previously unreleased. The box will provide a tour guide filled with notes, photos, and more.

Also on May 30, a truncated set to be called The Music Never Stops will fill 3CDs with 27 performance tracks. This incredible package culls from 450 tracks to attempt – ATTEMPT – to create a set of enjoyable listening and immersion that goes a step beyond.

The Enjoying the Ride 60CD Box will be available only for 6000 purchasers and is exclusive to the band’s website (here). It will also be offered on DD in MP3 and other high resolution formats. The Music Never Stops will be issued on 3CD, DD, and 6LP. All the tracks for both sets have been newly remastered.
