Throbbing Gristle, a UK-based experimental band with us since the mid-’70s, has left quite a trail of excellent music for the more adventurous music lovers. Their first era was short-lived ending in 1981. They reassembled in 2004 for a brief six-year period. Regardless, Throbbing Gristle is a uniquely interesting band.
On May 16, Mute Records will revisit the latter period with a new live release from a NYE’s show in 2005. The package will present 11 performance tracks and should be a nice add for Throbbing Gristle libraries. The title will be Live at the Volksbühne Berlin New Year’s Eve 2005. this album has been pulled from the recent TG Box set with the exclusivity removed. You can hear “Almost A Kiss” from the album below.
Live At The Volksbühne, Berlin, New Year’s Eve, 2005 will be made available on CD, DD, and vinyl LP.
