The nucleus of XTC was Andy Partridge and Colin Moulding. Within their creative timespan, XTC gained a solid core of fans, releasing somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 studio sets (not including offshoot albums under different band name). One of those was The Big Express. Issued in 1984, this album issued three UK singles, but garnered less in the way of attention than English Settlement (1982), and Black Sea (1980) had earlier. Nevertheless, XTC was a strong band of talent that could never be ignored by the core base.

On September 22, The Big Express will be reissued with its main focal point being the new Steven Wilson mixes of the album in Stereo (including hi-res), Instrumental,  and 5.1 Surround Dolby Atmos. The package will feature both CD and BD-Audio. They will both be packed in with a 16-page booklet. Bonus tracks including outtakes and demos will be included in the slipcased set.

You can order this set from Burning Shed and APE House here.
