Fans love The Slider, the 1972 album that T. Rex produced and that provided two well known singles (“Metal Guru”, “Telegram Sam”). Previously, The Slider was reissued in 2012 via Edsel Records UK as a 40th Anniversary Deluxe set with new remastering, extra tracks, a DVD, LP, and a hardbound book. Now we’re celebrating a 50th Anniversary and Edsel revisits the title with a 2CD set that will provide the original album, as well as three non-album B-sides, and a collection of work-in-progress demos known as The Alternate Slider: Rabbit Fighter.
The Slider 2CD set will reissue on June 9. The 2CD set uses a gatefold package and adds in an 8-page booklet with lyrics and annotations.
