Caravan, by releasing their self-titled first album back in the early days of Rock, helped to progress Rock n Roll into a phase of changes. Those changes involved introducing popular musical elements and fusing them with jazz and classical. These adds, along with other influential bands experimenting with the same progressive blends would create a path that bands would follow for decades.
On September 6, a 9CD Box featuring the bands works with Decca/Deram labels, will become available. In addition to the remastered set of classic Caravan albums, which include If I Could Do It All Over Again, I’d Do I All Over You (1970), In The Land Of Grey and Pink (1971), Waterloo Lily (1972), For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night (1973), and Cunning Stunts (1975). In addition, a collection of bonus tracks, and live recordings will be packed in on the CDs.
The box is being called The Decca/Deram Years (An Anthology) 1970-1975). Three CDs of live concerts will include Live At The Fairfield Halls – 1974 (CD7), a collected live set of BBC live tracks on Live At The BBC 1970-1975 – The Show Of Our Lives (CD8, CD9).
A 48-page booklet is packed in with new notes, photos, and credits listings.
