Despite the noticeable fact that older Rock music fans are still awaiting upgrades on some of their classic album favorites, it’s nice to know that some of the usual suspects continue to update their catalog titles. One of those bands is the legendary Grateful Dead, who celebrate every opportunity available. With an upcoming 50th Anniversary in full swing, Rhino is helping the band to celebrate.
On June 7, the band’s timeless classic, AOXOMOXOA, will be reissued over several formats. A 2CD edition will emerge with two well-known mixes of the 1969 album: the original label mix and the band’s 1971 mix. Both are being presented together for the first time with new remastering. To add to the value, a second CD will be included with previously unreleased live selections from several shows in San Francisco at the Avalon Ballroom (January 24-26, 1969).
The newly remastered classic will also be presented on collectible picture disc vinyl LP.
