Interpol started their careers in 1997 and by 2002, they were noted as an excellent band in the manner of ’80s music like Joy Division. Whether or not that designation does anything for you or even if you agree with that, Interpol hit the ground running on their debut release. they released two sets two years apart and both selling a commanding amount (Gold in the US). Over 20 years, Interpol has released studio albums, all issued via Matador Records.
On August 26, Interpol returns after a four year silence to release their next new album. The album is being called This Mirror Weighs A Ton, which will contain 12 brand new tracks. their first single release is “See Out Loud”. You can hear that below.
This Mirror Weighs A Ton will be released via new label affiliation, Partisan Records and will be issued on CD, DD, and several versions of vinyl LP. These include 2LP Red/Black Marble Spanish Edition, 2LP Black LP, and a Limited Edition (1,000 copies worldwide) Deluxe Box that will present 2LP Red/Black Marble, art print insert, photo cards, and a slide frame.
