Attached, albeit briefly, to David Bowie via an SNL performance, Klaus Nomi helped accentuate the wild years of the ’80s as Rock evolved further. As the showy persona of Nomi radiated, he issued an unmatched debut on RCA Records. Issued in 1981, the self-titled album included some dramatic operatic and rock fusion with “Total Eclipse”, “Lightning Strikes”, and “You Don’t Own Me”. One year later, he would released his second album – Simple Man, which contained songs like “Simple Man”, “Ding Dong” (from the Wizard of Oz), and “ICUROK”. With only two albums to his name, Nomi died a short time later from AIDS in 1983, just 10 months removed since the release of Simple Man.

On April 24, the fine folks at Omnivore Recordings will reissue two volumes of Klaus Nomi tracks remixed for the dance floor. Originally issued from Legacy in 2023, the songs offer a different sound for the originals.

Both Remixes sets will be offered on CD, DD, and vinyl LP bundle (on April 18 for RSD).
