R.E.M. Gets 8CD/1DVD Box Highlighting BBC Sessions – R.E.M. At The BBC

R.E.M. left behind a memorable and enduring catalogue of strong songs and album sets. Started in Georgia back in 1980, R.E.M. released fifteen studio set, most of them brilliant. For decades, the band had their thumb on the pulse of the world at large and wrote strong lyrics to express them. R.E.M. retired from music in 2011. For 14 years, we have had a mind-numbing drought of R.E.M. music, which is a bit of a sad thing (for me).

On March 6, Craft Recordings will issue a 8CD/1DVD box that will pay attention to the BBC recordings of the band from several years beginning in 1984, and ending in 2004. If you’re a devout R.E.M. fan, then this is a suitable add to your library. The DVD will provide BBC TV content (Accelerating Backwards, Later…With Jools Holland) as well as three bonus R.E.M. videos (“I’ve Been High”, “Nightswimming”, “Bad Day”). The Box packs in a booklet with photos and notes. The set is called R.E.M. At The BBC.
