The world is  filled with Rock and Roll unknowns. And while a small group of devoted fans remember such bands, their attachments to them are more likely intensive. One such band is The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Formed in 1972 in Scotland, this band highlighted several key points that included costumes worn on stage (the guitarist [Zal Cleminson] often wore mime makeup), and a dose of theatricality. (My brother was a FULL-ON fan.) Nevertheless. The Sensational Alex Harvey Band and their brand of Blues/Rock was noticed in eight studio sets between the years of 1972 and 1978. Their popularity was best noted in the UK.

On April 10, Madfish Music will release a massive boxed set in the purest Madfish style to be called Good Evening, Boys And Girls! This set will contain a whopping collection of 21 CDs filled with plenty of live performance tracks including a 144-page hard back book, a signed photo, a replicated program, and much more. The soundboard and radio recordings are all newly remastered for this release.

Good Evening, Boys and Girls! will be released on the mentioned 21CD box, and DD.

  1. Saw SAHB twice, at the Rainbow and then at Charlton during “The Who put the boot in” tour. So a bit of a fan but this pricing is oh so painful.

    1. You’re a rare one. My brother loved this band collecting everything they did. But even he may balk at this pricing. Madfish does charge a lot.
