The Monkees were born as a TV phenomena that blossomed into excellent chart material. they produced a strong collections of best-selling albums and a range of radio hits. with approximately four years of original life, the band exceeded all expectations. The Monkees released 9 studio sets via Colgem Records, the last arriving in 1970. (They reformed later and issued Pool It! in 1987.)

On January 30, Rhino Entertainment will revisit The Monkees to help celebrate 60 years of the band. They will deliver a new collection to be called The A’s, The B’s, & The Monkees. On it will be a collection of hits that were found on both A and B-sides. A booklet will be added to the sets.

The A’s, The B’s & The Monkees will be offered on 2CD, DD, and 140g-weight black vinyl 2LP.

  1. It’s remarkable that they only released 12 singles during their ‘60s heyday, but the TV show helped push album sales.

  2. Wow! – I can’t believe “She” wasn’t released as a single in the States. It was released as an EP here in Australia.
