Nektar released their first album back in 1971. By 1972, The US markets began to take notice of this German progressive band, whose first  album contained a unstopping flow of music despite their being thirteen songs listed. A Tab In the Ocean continued a strong flow of continuous music with the album hosting a single side featuring one track. By 1973, the world had taken notice and their fourth album was a hit with them all. The fifth set, Down to Earth, continued that interest with a fervent strength of nine extraordinary tracks.

On February 27, Cherry Red UK will reissue Down to Earth in a 50th Anniversary 4CD Boxed set with the original audio newly remastered. In addition to that, the set will offer 26  more tracks that will explore the set’s alternate mixes, and session music. As a larger bonus, a previously unreleased live set from their St. Louis set at the Keil Auditorium on April 2, 1975 is included in the offerings. A richly designed booklet with new notes and essays is packed in with the box.

This 2025 remastered reissue of Down to Earth will be provided on 4CD and DD.
