The short-lived edition of Faces that had successfully moved on from its previous Steve Marriott-led entity (Small Faces) gave rise to not only the evolution of the band that boasted Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane, and Kenney Jones as mainstays, but also careers of the components. Faces, in their iteration, left behind four classic sets and one live album in a span of just only three years. One of those sets is the inimitable Ooh La La album that generated the timeless title song, a song that still has a strong life over a half a century later.
On June 13, Faces‘ classic end-game set – Ooh La La – will be reissued on 180g-weight vinyl LP. The LP is cut from the original analog master tapes by Kevin Gray and to be reissued via Rhino Entertainment. Part of Rhino’s elevated High Fidelity series, this Ooh La La set will be available in 5000 copies and numbered on the highest quality of heavyweight jacket the album will come in.
A four-panel insert will be included that will feature photos, and two interview pieces with Kenny Jones and Glyn Johns.
