The duo of Seals & Crofts released their first album back in 1969. They issued two albums before signing with Warner Brothers Music for their third album. but it was their 4th that did the trick. With the release of Summer Breeze in 1972, this duo set the stage for five years of strength. Summer Breeze gave birth to the classic and timeless hits of “Summer Breeze”, and “Hummingbird”. The album sold upwards of two million copies in the US alone. 1973 paved for the release of Diamond Girl. The singles from that album included “Diamond Girl”, and the immeasurable importance and jarring realization of “We May Never Pass This Way (Again)”. In all, the duo released more than 15 studio sets, and 16 singles that also include “Get Closer”. The pair went on hiatus in 1981, and have reunited since.

On July 18, Lemon Recordings (Cherry Red UK) will release a 5CD Box that will showcase the strength of Seals & Crofts during their eight album history with Warner Brothers Records. The set will be called Gold & Rainbows: The Warner Bros. Years 1969-1978. (Their first two albums were released by a smaller label, which was later purchased by Warners’ Time-Life division. Those two albums were then re-released as a 2-album set in 1974 (Seals & Crofts I & II) during the height of the band’s popularity. Therefore, they are added to the 10 album Warner collection found here.)

Gold & Rainbows: The Warner Bros. Years 1969-1978 will be issued in the 5CD Box and DD. A booklet is sure to complement the set with notes and photos detailing the ten albums found within.
